Dr. Ilka Luck
Dr. Ilka Luck comes with 15 years of experience and profound expert knowledge in renewable energies. She has initiated the foundation of several companies (a. o. Sulfurcell, today Soltecture) and was managing director of thin film PV producing companies (a. o. Global Solar Energy Deutschland). In these roles she acquired the extensive expertise in strategic positioning, financing and set-up of companies. She was also responsible for technology transfer and the market introduction of new products. She holds a degree in physics and a MBA.
Dr. Steffen Schuler
The physicist Dr. Steffen Schuler adds over 12 years of experience in public R&D, product development and production optimization in VLSI semiconductor as well as the photovoltaic industry. At Infineon and Qimonda he established the company-wide DRAM product engineering group and supported the production ramp up of various memory chips at high volume production sites in Asia and the US. As member of the founding and management team, his latest function was Head of Technology at Global Solar Energy Deutschland. He was responsible for all technological aspects of the frontend (thin film coating), backend (cell series connection), flex-BIPV (module manufacturing), quality, and IT until the phase of successful series production.
Dr. Roland Scheer
Dr. Roland Scheer adds two decades of successful R&D activities in PV technology. As senior executive at the Helmholtz Zentrum für Materialien und Energie (former Hahn-Meitner-Institut Berlin) he lead several international R&D projects and forward-looking industry cooperations. Today, Prof. Scheer is full professor at University Halle-Wittenberg. He holds a degree in electric engineering and a degree in physics.
PI-Berlin Photovoltaik-Institut Berlin
The backbone of this strong partnership is constituted by the Photovoltaik-Institut Berlin AG. The PI Berlin offers technical services needed for the production of PV modules. The company's core is an accredited test laboratory. All facilities for long-term stability testing of PV modules according to the IEC test protocol but also beyond that are available. Own research acitivies on PV module design and encapsulation complete the activities.
